Kelly Clarkson doesn't want her kids to become musicians

Kelly Clarkson may have given her tykes melodic qualities, however it doesn't mean she needs them to get into the business when they grow up.

"I truly trust they are tone hard of hearing," the two-time winning mentor of "The Voice" told press this week.


Clarkson, 36, shares child Remington "Remy" Alexander, 2, and little girl River Rose, 4, with spouse Brandon Blackstock. She's additionally stepmom to Blackstock's child Seth and little girl Savannah from his past marriage.

"I trust they are instructors or specialists or something … It's a hard industry," she conceded.

She said of her Team Kelly champ, 15-year-old Brynn Cartelli, "I cautioned Brynn's mother … I'm similar to, 'Clutch them!' Hug them and reveal to them extremely decent things since individuals are mean.' That's horrendous, yet it is reality."


Clarkson admitted that she feels like a phase mother to her "The Voice" colleagues, which concerns her about how she'd respond to her own children getting to be performers sometime in the not so distant future.

"I get so energized and I'm anxious about what sort of mother I would be," she said. "I figure I would be my mother … She would resemble, 'I have heard better however it was strong!'"
